I started this project on Wednesday of this last week and completed it friday. The results are DRAMATIC to say the least. I used Mike Phillips Single Stage thread how to on this truck and it worked out great!!! I did add my own little twist , which ill explain in this thread. First some before pics:

The first thing i did was carefully wash and clay bar the entire vehicle. The paint was full of contamination !!! I went through 2 clay bars just on this truck!!! You can see from these pics how heavily oxidized each panel was. At this point you can see some reflection coming back in the paint.

For the second step I followed this thread : http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/how-articles/25304-secret-removing-oxidation-restoring-show-car-finish-antique-single-stage-paints.html
I did not hand rub out this vehicle as many times as Mike did with his , I did use the same ole' number 7 though!!! I must say that this is the way i will restore single stage paints from now on. Worked great , looked great and best of all no risk of going through the SS paint!! .It was alot of work but well worth it for these kind of results!! After only two rub downs Heres some pics:

Now heres where i put my twist on it, at this point my terry cloths were barely getting any oxidation residue on them so i decided to try a lake country tangerine pad with some Presta ultra polish on my gg6 at a speed rating 3 . I worked it very slowly and evenly in section passes throughout the vehicle Heres the result :

At this point in the project i made the decision that this was as good as i could do without having to have tommy john surgery after if i kept going ..... So i hand applied some Malco Pad Wax and then went over that with some more old No: 7!!! Just to give it that extra Pop !!
