After using the 3M 2000 grit wetsand paper there were very micro sized scratches after using the 2000 grit paper then I proceeded too use the 3M 3000 "Soft" wetsand paper...it took them out...very nice. Back to work I go.

So, what was the cause, if any?
Impurities in the slough?
It is what it is?
Nature of the beast?
What are you following up the 3000 with...foam?

It had a million scratches...so that the client wanted out so he can sell it.

Good luck...
I always say,
Sanding is the easy part... getting the sanding marks out is the tricky part!

Well Mike you are very correct.....wetsanding reminding me of using the claybar..I hated it...it took 2 days but it came out very nice and the client was very happy. I took alot of time to read your articles on wetsanding and learned alot...Thanks.

So, the micro scratches were remnants, left behind from the RIDS - that were partially reduced by the 2000 after wet sanding, and not indicative of the 2000 itself?
