I get ripped for this but I take them in the shower with me, well as far as my Aqua grout sponge, mf wash glove and applicator pads. Its all about mutli-tasking IMO, no biggie.

I use the LC CCS Euro Foam Hand Pads in white and red. As soon as detailing session is done, I soak in a solution of one-ounce All 'Free N Clear' to three gallons of warm water, with a grit guard on the bottom. I use it to gently scrub out stains. Wring repeatedly to wash out product. Rinse well under running water.

Believe it or not, those GG's pull great double-duty as pad cleaners! Stains left by polishing came out easily on white pads. On red pads there was still some staining, as some waxes and sealants are tinted. But they still came out squeeky clean.

LOL. I do the same with my LC 'Big Blue' sponge. I stomp on them repeatedly during shower. They sure do come out clean!

I recentyl purchased some Pinnacle Microfiber cleaner when it was on sale, and tried it out on some microfiber applicator pads and towels, it' did a great job.

To clean my pads i used xmt pad cleaner, then take them to the sink and give them a good scrub with some water and more xmt, dry with a towel that absorbs well.

I have a padwasher and wash then as I am using them.

Spin dry and keep on using them. After the day is done I wash them one last time and spin them to get out most of the water then just let them air dry.

I soak them in a bucket with pad cleaner, then throw them in the washer.

Spray on some APC, rub in with fingers, rinse, and repeat until clean! Then let them air dry overnight.

Depending on what the applicator was used for I will put the applicators in a bucket with some DP pad cleaner. If I use a sealant or wax I will spray with APC first.
