Hi, I live in a tropical country so rain is quite common. What is not so common is the time to clean my car after a rain. I normally wash the car once a week during the weekend.

To help with this, I did get a local detailer to Opti Coat my car. It's been a great help, but unfortunately it seems that water spots can still make their way in. Today I noticed a few after washing the car:

Light rubbing with a MF cloth won't make it go away. Actually is it an etching? This is probably from a rain about 3-4 days ago. If so, how can I get rid of it? Note: I have no power tools, so it will have to be done by hand.

Going back to my original question, I foresee that water spots is going to be an on going thing. So any maintenance or preventative steps I can take?

Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did some reading on the CG Water Spot Remover. Seems like it works great for surface spots, but not so good for spots that have etched. Is that the case?

warm water with vinegar

Make sure you seal or wax it after though. The vinegar will remove wax too. Not for sure about the OC.
