Hi Autogeeks,

Which backing plate size should I use with 6.5"CCS pads fit on my Flex 3401? I tought a 6" backing plate would be the best choice but need your advices.
Thanks and regards,
Johny

The stock BP is 5.5" which comes with your 3401 will work fine with a LC 6.5" pad. To the best of my knowledge there are no 6" backing plates available for the 3401 and since it's a forced rotation unit you can't use a standard backing plate like you would use on a PC, Meg's and the like.

Lake Country makes a 6" backing plate for the Flex.

Correct Rsurfer totally forgot about their changeable plate backing system. I just use the factory 5.5" and 4 3/8" BP's. Even though they are both rated for a 6.5" pad IMO.. I would still go with the standard 5.5" opposed to the 6" plate as it gives a little more cushion (safety margin) with the plate accidentally bumping something and causing damage.

Rsurfer have you used the LC plates any good? Any down side?

Nope, don't own a 3401.
