I have the following tires on my jeep.
Wrangler DuraTrac Tires | Goodyear Tires (http://www.goodyear.com/en-US/tires/wrangler-duratrac)

Anybody have any tricks or tips on applying tire shine (I use opti-bond) on these tires?

Any tools, like a brush?

Used a applicator and it was a PITA

Thoughts?

I would dilute the opti-bond @ 1:1 and use the Optimum Spray Gun.

I would have to agree with Troy. Personally I like Megs Hyperdressing for those type of tires. I spray it on carefully, let it sit 10 min or so then remove excess with an all purpose MF.

Yep, tried that-I need to get better at spraying it on. Got it on the wheels a lot

apply the product to an applicator pad to cover most areas, the go back with a soft bristle tooth brush to get the deep crevices and high points.

This will allow you to get all of the vertical tread without waste of product.

just like brushing your teeth!

What size are your wheels? Autogeek sells plastic wheel covers that fit up to a 17" wheel. You could move the cover as you spray if your wheels are larger than 17".

I use Maguires 13229
13230

But I can't wait to order something from AG.

I agree. I have an Optimum Spray Gun set up here at Autogeek with Opti-Bond diluted at 1:1 with water and use it on my tires, which are currently 38.5 Ground Hawgs and it works great.

You just need a air compressor.

I took a video to show this but it didn't turn out too good, I'll take a fresh one and post it.
