I was curious about starting up a detail biz so today I went to my local city building and asked about creating an auto detail biz at my home. I'm the kind of guy that wants the proper license, I'll pay my taxes, I support local business.
Although the local reference to zoning and such was from 1986 (it's the current here) it seems the biggest wall to climb was the disposal of water after using all of those toxic chemicals. I get that concept, really. They spoke of water/oil seperators/filtration like you mite see in an automated car wash. It's basically the EPA and the incredibly backwards thought patterns of the city/area I live in. That being said....and I get it....
Has anyone set up or tried to set up a detail shop, at home or away, only to find that water quality issues have stopped the process. Or anything else that you might not have expected?
I appreciate your input.
