Try claybar, if that doesnt work. Polish your glass. Details pro series has a kit that includes a clay bar, glass cleaner, glass polish and the pads needed.

Detailer's Krystal Vision Glass Kit (http://www.autogeek.net/dppeviglkit.html)

also, go here for other glass polishes and chemicals as well as pads etc.

Clean your car windshield and windows to a streak-free shine with a quality auto glass cleaner from Autogeek! Ammonia-free, no streaks, DP Krystal (http://www.autogeek.net/glasscare.html)

I used a clay bar made exclusively for glass. Worked great. I'll see if I can get the URL.

Polishing the glass with any fairly aggressive polish such as M105, Fixer, or many others will work on regular water spots. If the spots have etched into the glass get some CarPro Ceriglass.

My buddy has a 72 Mustang fastback that had terrible water spots. He tried clay, vinegar, glass polishes, etc. I ended up using M105 with a Griot's 6" yellow scrubbing pad on my Griot's DA. After about an hour, I had removed about 90 percent of the water spots. I would have used my rotary but I didn't have it with me that day.
