Is it safe to use the blending solution from the Dr Colorchip kit on paint chips that have been touched up with oem touchup paint that is about 6 months to a year old? Id rather go this route if possible when i order the kit than wetsand. Thoughts?

Taken from the Dr. Colorchip FAQ page:

Can I use just the paint or blending solution?

The paint is not regular touch-up paint and is made to work with the SealAct solution. As such, the SealAct will not work with regular touch-up paint. Feel free to order just the paint if you plan on applying it and leaving it as is.

There are basically 2 routes you can take to tackle the chips:
Dr. Chip
or
Factory touch up (I'd rather use paint from a paint shop personally) in combination with Langka. Langka is strong and will strip even very old touch up paint if worked long enough. You need to get some Langka.
