umm...yah...stopped by work on my way home from visiting ltoman..(nice house by the way...even nicer vette...hope the samples get the vette swirl free...) ..anyway back on topic...one of the girls from work saw some of the cars I had done for other co-workers in the parking lot and asked me to take a look at her husbands car...2000 Chevy Malibu...some sort of deep cherry color....i think..not sure under all the oxidation and dirt...we set a loose appointment for sometime next week..should be interesting...never been washed more than once or twice in 7 years and has minor clearcoat failure (from what I can see) on the rear and front bumper you can see some of it by the front headlights...here is a teaser pic http://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/icon16.gif

Be very careful on those spots where clear coat looks to be failed, and the areas around it. You have to hand polish those areas, or else risk loosing the CC for sure.

Looks like a tough job, and something I would LOVE to do. I'm working on a 2006 MB E350 at the moment, and man it's been a pleasure to pull an "extreme" make over..

i live in san diego too. do you wanna come over and do some magic on my car? i don't have a pc or anything and i'd like to get some swirls out. i had someone work on it 2 months ago and he did a great job but there are still a few deep ones left that i need taken a care of.
