Looking for advice for cleaner / protector for new Mazda. Dash has rubberlike feel. Dealer prep already has dust /lint adhered to it. Would like some UV protection as live in Vegas hot sun.
Thanks

Approach it like any normal dash. An interior cleaner followed up by an interior protectant. The Blackfire line has an interior cleaner and protectant.

Have a CX-5 as well... it's been a good little car. I've been using Lucas Interior Detailer. It's a water based detailer that's good for a non shiny look. It does a horrible job on the exterior trim and residue but great for dusty conditions. Been told that Meguiar's #40 is a great product but haven't tried yet - I have too much sitting in my garage before I can start buying again. =*(

Your dash is probably vinyl, like mentioned before I would use a light cleaner, like Meguiars quick interior cleaner and then follow up with a protectant that has a UV protectant and is water based. A couple of good choices are 303 aerospace protectant or Optimum leather protectant, both leave a matte/ no shine finish.

I just use Meg's APC+ 10:1 to clean and either 303 Aerospace Protectant OR Ultima Interior Guard +. Just depends how I'm feeling that day!

Ultima Interior Guard Plus is the most impressive protectant I've used so far. There's nothing else like it. Clean the dash with something like Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel and then follow up with the UIGP
