I just got a great deal on the Mequiar's G110v2, so now I will need to find out what accessories to get. I was told the 5" backing plate was the best way to go, so which one is better? Is the Lake Country more flexible?

Thanks.

I got the Meguiar's 5" plate, primarily because I also bought some of the Meg's MF pads, and their 5" plate uses a different hook and loop system (microhooks) which allow the pad *which uses the same hook and loop system) to run cooler.

Either one will work fine, The LC tends to stick a lot more to the pads, the Megs one is a lot easier to take the pad off. Really, I think they are the same thing just with different velcro types.

so you can use foam pads with the Meg's plate? They won't fly off b/c of the micro hooks?

I use foam pads on the Megs plate all the time, I mean Megs makes foam pads too so I don't think the plates are just for MF pads.

good to know. I think I'll get a 5" meg's plate once my LC needs replacing...

I've never had that issue with my LC Hydrotechs and Meguiar's backing plate.

I just got one called Euro Shine. It seems pretty nice.
