This is the 17th referral in 3 weeks from a single customer. I cannot thank him enough! Needless to say, his Hummer will be very well taken care of next time. This van is very familiar to me. My wife drives a similar model. There are some scrapes on the outside.
One big one on the bumper.......which is to be replaced in a couple of weeks. The interior was pretty grimy buy in good condition for a "van". Most are trashed! This vehicle gave me the chance to tryout some new to me products.......XMT's 360, the CYCLO, and Folex carpet cleaner.

Here's the full process.......

Wheels, Tires, and Well:
(Purple Power Degreaser and Meguiar's Wheel Brightener)
I simply sprayed on the products, let soak, scrubbed and blasted clean. Boy were these wheels caked with dust! I hate Ford's cast wheels. Eeverything gets into the crevices and sticks like glue. I used DP's Wheel Glaze to aid against this and then used Pinnacle's Black Onyx Tire Gel on the tires. The wells got a coating of No-Touch Wet'n Protect.

Wash Cycle:
(NXT Car Wash with black Wheel ShMitt)
Ok, this thing was dirtier that what I thought. The painted did a good job at hiding it too. After a good washing, I really felt no need for claying. Skipping this step too would let me see just how well 360 would clean the paint.

Paint Correction and Protection:
(XMT's 360 AIO via CYCLO with the green EDGE2K pads)
I simply have no idea how I've detailed without a CYCLO before now! It, along with the EDGE2K system, is perfectly balanced in my opinion. You can hardly even tell it's on! Those of you at Detail Fest will agree with me on this. I put four, pea-sized drops of 360 onto each pad. I used no QD at all. With the machine off, I smeared the product over half of the hood. I then switched the machine on. No dial here. Just one setting.....ON! I started out with some pressure, not much though. The 360 quickly started to do it's work. It also quickly vanishes. There is barely any residue to remove. Absolutely no dusting either. Take a look at it's cleaning ability too after just the hood!

The CYCLO cut like crazy. I was even one-handing it since this machine was so smooth. I did the entire van's paint, with correction, in 40 minutes......this includes the roof too! I am extremely pleased with both products and here's why.....

Interior:
(FOLEX carpet cleaner, DP's Interior Cleaner, Pinnacle's Leather Cleaner & Conditioner)
FOLEX is simply good stuff. I spot treated the carpet at full strength and then misted the rest of the area. I let sit for 5 minutes and vacuumed. I then cam back and rubbed the areas with a damp MF towel. WOW! Cleaned up with no foam and no residue left. Very pleased here.
The leather was then cleaned and treated. The windows were cleaned with Diamondite's Glass Cleaner.

Befores........

man you ended up with a Cyclo before me, what are your complete thoughts ?? How was the weight difference compared to PC, and did you feel with lower speed of Cyclo was/wasnt a factor due to pad sizing ??

Ok Scott,
I thought it felt heavier but once on the paint, it's so balanced! Once I started moving it, it felt lighter in action than the PC. This may be due to it's smoother operation but boy, I could tell a difference. To me, it's speed felt like the PC's 5 to 6 range. Really fast. Once again, the lack of vibration makes it appear to be some what slower......it's also a lot quieter as well. We all know that a 4" pad will cut better than a 6" will on a DA. Now couple 2 of them in one machine. You get almost twice the cutting area of a PC and to me, twice the effectiveness.

The CYCLO did in 40 minutes what it would take the PC to do in 1.5 hours. I'm very pleased. Again, a lot of credit has to got to XMT's 360. What a product!!!

Let me remind you all again because I know I will get asked.......

I did NOT top XMT's 360 with ANYTHING!

That's it in it's natural state. Now you know why I'm excited about it!

Nice job, thanks for the review on 360. Always enjoy your details, complete list of products and processes.
One more thing can you get that Cyclo to suck that dent out of the bumper.

Thanks bro.

If the CYCLO could, I would not be detailing for a living!

LOL!

Doing paint correction on a whole van in 40 minutes is truly amazing. I spent about that much time just on the hood of my truck yesterday.

Great job!

Does the polish break down quicker with the Cyclo vs. the PC and is that why it goes faster?

WOW!! First the Hummer, and now this Freestar without any topping over the XMT360!! Looks Awesome!! Cyclo/XMT360 took care of those scuffs/scratches too!! Great work, Justin!!
Is the Cyclo more cumbersome on the vertical panels, seeing it's heavier than the PC? I like that it's quieter than the PC.
OK, I need to stop!! I can't even afford the Cyclo............................................y et! :D

Another question......I'm guessing you used your Ridgid wet/dry vac. Did you remove the filter before vaccuming the damp/wet carpet? I'm asking because I'm going to be doing the interiors on my vehicles with my recently acquired Ridgid (just like yours, 4 gal/5HP). Used my Christmas gift card to Home Depot. :)
I hope it's not bad etiquette to post this pic. But I wanted you to see what you made me buy!! LOL

It's not any different than the PC on vertical panels. Maybe a little heavier but you're done so much quicker that you will never notice the weight.

I never remove my filter. Only if I'm doing a boat and need to remove a lot of water. I just leave the vac on after doing mats and shampooing. This lets the vac dry the filter itself. You will love that vac. Me and highenddetailer has the same one. Can't kill it!

Thanks bro.

Well THANKS!

I try to make it a little more exciting. I just tired of seeing this......

"Meguiars #80/ via PC/ Speed #5"

That's boring! And how does that help a novice?

I really enjoy writing them too.
