Yes they do for all ground shipments. I work in shipping. It sucks Because if you want to put a stop on a package or retrive it you have to wait till the train reaches its destination.

Well, they can't use trains for ALL ground shipments. And you can't put a stop on a semi trailer, either, you have to wait for it to get to the terminal.

Well not for all ground shipments but the ones that are going long distance and coast to coast

I googled this and apparently it's not the first time a UPS train derailed in the same spot?? How can that be? Maybe this is the excuse they use when they're late, and they're yucking it up in the dispatch center...

They've gotten slow. I remember when FedEx was just becoming a player...they really sucked. Now they put UPS to shame. 4 business days plus a weekend to get from Florida to Texas. I have stuff leave Cali on Tuesday and I have it Friday on FedEX. My AG order left today and I won't get it until next Wednesday...

I haven't had trouble with shipping, most packages get here in 2-3 days. I don't see where the horror stories cone from.

Apparently! Never heard of the Big Brown Train! :dunno:And you never will, since it's not UPS' train. It's a BNSF train with UPS trailers on it.

I've had my last shipment like that too, luckily it arrived fine. The package arrival time was moved to 2 days extra.
