I usually use Rain-X on my glass. But it doesn't last very long. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried applying a paint sealant (Like WGDGPS) on their glass and what was the outcome?

you should have no issues putting sealants on glass

I just did that this past weekend. I applied BFWD on the whole car including windshield, it rained hard yesterday and it repelled even better than Aquapel IMHO. I'm sure it doesn't last a fraction of the time though.

Just tried the Griot's Glass Sealant the other day...
It's by far the BEST glass sealant I've tried. The water beads right off like it's "allergic" to glass... And it's only $8! But you do have to apply once, let it haze and apply again.. So there's that.

I hated RainX... Aquapel is way too expensive... And I never got good results with Meguiars 21 on the glass...

I have a really pitted windshield in my van that I intend on trying to resurface sometime this year. It's good to know of a great, reasonably priced glass sealant. Thanks

I use whatever sealant or coating I'm placing on the paint.

I hear aquapel is incredible but never used it. Hi Dave!!!

aquapel is way over rated. Used it on both my ride but not impress.
I like V7 on glass

I use mainly Opti-Seal on glass, and maintain with Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax. I still have a nearly full bottle of the old version of OS to finish up, so I don't see the point in spending money on a different product for glass (even if I re-apply monthly, it'll still take me years to use up that bottle on glass and wheels).

Thanks folks. I will try it out. I figure it has to last quite a bit longer than the Rain-X.

Duragloss AquaWax is a sealant of sorts and does a great job on glass.

I just ordered the Gtechniq G1 Clear Vision Smart Glass based on a lot of reading on a lot of products. Seems it's supposed to last up to 2 years and the videos were pretty impressive!

Griots Glass Sealant. Great Price, lasts a while, but it doesn't last forever. Nice product at a great price. It's like a professional version of Rain X. Similar, but better.
