Gtechniq G-Wash

This morning I tested out the new G-Wash by Gtechniq.

Washing a car for most of us is the car maintenance procedure we do the most. That is we polish and wax once in a while but we tend to wash our cars often to remove the recently accumulated road grime and dirt.

G-Wash is the perfect car wash for any car already being maintained with Gtechniq products, because the chemist that created the GTechniq coatings know the chemistry behind the coatings, they are perfectly aware of how to best create the ultimate car wash solution to maintain their coatings protecting your car.

G-Wash is non-detergent and instead uses anionic surfactants and chelating agents together with a high lubricity, high foaming sudsing formula. G-Wash chemically releases the bond between any built-up dirt and road grime allowing it to be rinsed off while lubricating the surface at the same time.

Besides the great chemistry inside the bottle, what I really liked about the product is the cherry scent, it makes your car wash solution smell like cherry candy as you wash your car...

Mmmm.....

Now lets test it out...

Here's my victim car, it's a 2004, low mileage Silver Metallic Honda Accord, probably the only one like it in the world.

Mixing two cupful of G-Wash with about 3+ gallons of water. The G-Wash Car Wash Soap has a pleasant cherry scent, it makes washing your car enjoyable.

After adding the car wash solution to my water I agitate the water with my fingers spread apart to create piles of rich suds....

Agitating... see the volume getting higher...

Plenty of suds for excellent foaming away of surface dirt...

G-Wash car wash solution and clean rinse water are ready to go...

I'm washing in the early morning, before the sun gets too hot or the wind kicks up...

http://www.autogeekonline.net/gallery/data/1503/Gwash010.jpg

Now it's time to wash the car starting at the top and then working your way down...

Washing the roof and sun roof first...

Moving quickly,

I washed all the horizontal surfaces and the side windows too and then rinsed these sections of paint.
Next I washed one side of the car tackling the vertical sides of the fenders and doors. After the sides, I hit the front grill and bumper then rinsed
Next I washed the vertical panels on the back of the car including the trunk lid, license plate and bumper.
Lastly, I washed the very lowest portions of the vertical panels.

Prep Wash or Maintenance Wash
And here we go, a squeaky clean finish perfect for using the rest of the Gtechniq line of product on or once you've applied any of the Gtechniq products the Gwash is the perfect maintenance wash to maintain each of the coatings.

Product testing. :xyxthumbs:

This was done at 7:00am in the morning. The sun just poked its head out and notice no one else is even at work yet. No other cars in the parking lot except my Jimmy.

Good question. Here in sunny Stuart, Florida the best time to wash your car is first thing in the morning before the sun is up but this is as early as I could make it happen.

I could have hooked up the CR Spotless Water Deionization Water Filter System as shown in this thread but instead I moved fast and after washing the car pulled it into the studio and dried it off with a few Guzzlers and the MasterBlaster.

How to use the CR Spotless Water Deionization Systems (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-car-garage-how-videos/52671-how-use-cr-spotless-water-deionization-systems.html)

Wash, rinse and go with CR Spotless Water Systems!

Here's another option if you can set your garage up for it...

Not using most products in direct sunlight has more to do with the surface temperature rather than the light itself.

Mornings and late in the day is when the suns at it's lowest so there's plenty of light but not a lot of heat....

Surface temperature not sun....:props:

Ok.

It worked great.

I think the most important point I made in my review was the part about a Synergistic Chemical Compatibility plus the recommendation by the manufacturer.

Hi Mike, what do you think about using GWash to clean a car coated with Wolfgang Uber Ceramic coating, or do recommend something else?
