Thanks Steve and on behalf of Yancy, Jeff, Jeff and Rene, thank you also, it's always a team effort around here...

The owner Nickie and her husband were both blown away. Nickie's husband works at a car dealership and claims to have detailed a few cars in his life and he said it didn't look this good when they bought it brand new.

It truly does look just as good in person as it does in the pictures I posted...
:xyxthumbs:

I'm finding, judging only from the pics/vid in this post, that i like the finish of this coating over OC/OG or Cquartz. This is purely an observation, as I've not had experience with this product yet

but I have it in my cart (birthday is coming up in september heheh :xyxthumbs:)

Keep up the good work. These live sessions are informative and interesting to watch as the transformations progress!

:)

My only criticism thus far would be to move closer to SE Virginia!! - i have a lot to learn when it comes to machine polishing.

but clearly this move is not going to happen :)

Alas, detailfest is on my bucket list... :)

What about pad for the nano glass polish, the rep said it is better with machine, would we use a cyan cutting or a tangerine polishing?

For "pad" do you mean the applicator pads we applied Gtechniq products?

If so, we used the small round applicator pads that come with the product. If and when we run out I purchased some Publix brand make-up applicators, the small, soft round ones.

The thing you run into with coatings like this is you don't want to use an applicator that will soak up a lot of the product because it simply goes to waste.

So you want a small applicator that's not thick and won't absorb a lot of product but as it relates to the paintwork, it must be soft so it won't cause marring.

Anyone that knows me knows I try to do everything by machine, in fact you can see me machine polishing glass in the live broadcast video from this recent project.

I have a very cool 1965 Ford Mustang with a true Candy Apple Paint job with real gold flake in the paint coming up on August 9th and we'll apply the G4 Glass Nano Polish (http://www.autogeek.net/gtechniq-g4-glass-polish.html) on the glass of this Mustang by machine.

We'll also be applying the EXO

***Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer Scion Update***

Last Wednesday I talked to Nikki the owner of the 2012 High Voltage Scion we buffed out and applied the Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer over the paint after buffing it out with Pinnacle Polishes and stripping the paint in this thread,

It's been over a month now, actually over 40 days as we did this on July 19th and the paint still looks amazing. Nikki takes the car through a touchless car wash so to date she says nothing has physically touched the paint after driving the car out of the Autogeek Show Car Garage Studio.

I took this photo with my iPhone, it's only a 4, not a 4s so I don't have the "good" camera...

The paint still looks amazing...

I'll try to have her back and will freshen it up with some Silo Seal.

GTechniq was one of the featured products in the Autogeek newsletter including a link to the write-up for the Scion that we used C1 Crystal Lacquer on over a year ago. The actual project was over two years ago I gave the car a light polishing and re-applied the GTechniq about a year ago after we used this car for a Meguiar's video here,

To the point... last week I had my hair cut before taking off to Wayne Carini's shop and after getting my hair cut since my truck was parked right next to Nikki's Scion I inspected the quality of the finish and took these two pictures with my camera phone.

The finish still looks great but she only uses a touchless wash to wash the car.
