I'm looking to start offering trim restoration as an add on service. I've used the search feature to read a lot of reviews, and it seems like the Black Wow, Back to Black, Solution Finish type products will still all re-fade within a few months. If I was the customer, and I paid somebody $30 or so to restore my trim, I would be unhappy if it faded again 3 or 4 months down the road. I've thought about buying some of the C4 and offering to restore trim for like $50 extra, IF the product will hold up long term.

Suggestions?

I would look into coatings like C4 and CarPro DLux. But I would charge more than that. The product alone cost $40+.

Depending on how much plastic you need to coat, but on an average, 1 bottle of C4 should do 3-4 cars.

just reading that c1, c4 and c5 are all the same thing actually and c5 is $5 cheaper than the bottle of c4,

I found C4 to not last much longer than the others you mentioned (of course it laste 4-5-6 times longer than anything else I've used), but I was advised to do an acid wash first before application; I'll try that next time.

The rumor mill is spinning with news that Optimum is coming out with a plastic product next year, perhaps it will be a restorer like C4, DLux, etc.

I have a test review in progress with Solution Finish and CarPro Dlux over on Autopia..

I'll be posting durability results this weekend as it's been about 1 1/2 weeks since they've been applied...
