Has anyone used the darkening agent Solution Finish plastic/vinyl restore product on vinyl door paneling? This product did a great job on plastic trim according to another thread but I havent read anyone using it on vinyl door panels. Before I get messy I wanted to check just in case. I have been noticing some greying on my door panels, shifter and steering wheel and wanted to restore them to their original dark black color.

Also, before I apply this I figured I should wash the paneling. Should I just use a diluted water/soap combo or is there a specialty product for cleaning vinyl?

Thanks!

I wouldn't use Solution Finish on interior stuff myself, although it does do a good job on exterior trim.

If it's all vinyl, there is an aerosol spray paint that I've used on interior trim called color bond that works amazingly to restore interior vinyl. I'd do some looking into it if you are trying to restore interior vinyl to the original color. Color bond may be a good route to go.

**tip if that is the route you choose to go, you want to make sure you can remove the peices you wan to restore with the color bond and wipe it down really good with mineral spirits or ipa for best bonding.
