I read a lot of people go from M105 to M205. My question is will the Meg. UC finish about the same as the M205??

They are two completely different products. UC being a compound and M205 being a fine polish. So no, UC will not finish down the same.

But I have heard of some members using UC as a one step on lighter colored vehicles since it does finish down fairly well.

Thanks...ok new to this and wasn't familiar with the 105 and 205. So the 205 should finish about the same as UP I guess.
Ok how about the comparison between 105 and UC. Is the 105 a little more abrasive

Unfortunately my AG order isn't going to be here until Monday. Doing this car this weekend...obviously I'm limited as far as product I can pick up this morning. I've read that ScratchX doesn't really cut anything. I know the UC has some cut but this paint is kind of rough.

Mmm UC is just a tad less aggressive than 105, and UP (ultimate polish) is a tad less aggressive than 205, though some say that it's so weak that you woudln't be able to finish off with UP after 105, but instead can only work it after UC. I personally don't know if its true cause I only use UC/UP. But I have found the combo to finish up beautifully.

Since I'm in canada, m105/m205 is like, $40+13% tax for the 32oz of m105 or m205, and UC/UP combo is more cost effective and much more easily accessible at local stores, i've used the UC/UP combo for heavy defect removal with no problem at all with a cyan HT pad. Did it on a couple of hondas (soft paint) and nissans (not surei f its harder, but it took much more effort than the hondas to remove defects, so I would assume the clear is harder), so I really think you should be fine using it.
