Hello everyone. I just purchased a 2013 Scion FR-S and plan to learn how to keep it looking nice through this forum and associated store. It's silver (called "argento" by Scion) and has a manual 6-speed. It's my very first new-from-the-factory car and I'm looking forward to getting past the 1000-mile break-in period. There's probably some SCCA autocrossing in the future.

My screen name is a reference to the formula for tangential acceleration experienced when traveling on a curved path: accel_tangential = v^2/rho, where v is velocity and rho is the radius of curvature.

See you on the forums!

Welcome to AG and congrats on the car, its sooooo stunning inperson! IMO I'd wrap the tail lights in some red vinyl, maybe your local vinyl shop can do it or maybe Lamin-X has a kit already, just needs a little something to make it look different from the BRZ:props:

Welcome and nice ride! If I didn't have 3 kids and a wife I might get one of these.

P.S. No vinyl, leave the tail lights alone! She's a beaut without stickers! :)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I'm pretty happy with the way it looks right now, so it will remain stock for a while (except for a set of winter tires and wheels).

Before I signed the paperwork, I test-fit a Britax Roundabout 55 car seat (forward facing) and it fit much better than I expected. I'm 6'1" and sat in front of it with my knees just barely touching the glovebox. You could probably put one in each of the rear seats. I don't expect to cart around the little one very often but it's nice knowing that if our other car (Mazda3) needs to head to the shop, we won't all be stuck at home.
