I hear ya! I started what was going to be a "quick" wash last night at 5:00. That quick wash, turned into a wash, clay, seal and wax (all by hand). I was suspecting heat exhaustion right around 9:00 and jumped in the pool. Phoenix summers are no friend of car detailing. Summer monsoons and huge dust storms are also rampant so the decision to detail is more like a game of Russian roulette.

You too Rich! I have been trying to do most of my detailing later on in the evening when it cools down. But sometimes you can't avoid the heat.

I was up early to mow but then discovered a bunch of tree limbs in the yard. I guess I missed the 75mph winds last night. The area has about 50% out of power.

Bad storms in DC, knocked out a lot of power, heat gonna be up. We have had to reschedule all of our appointments to a later date or night time. Hope yall stay hydrated and in the cool.

Detailing m y sons car today. Every time I detail I have to say...IT'S A TON OF WORK!! It

brings out my age! I have 5 hours in and about two from last night. Exhausted!! Probably

another two and I'll be done!

I managed to sneak outside this morning around 7:20 to give my car a quick wipe down with Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer. No better way to start a day if you ask me. :)

It's about 95ºF here, when I have to do it in the sun I get up around 4:30am start washing at 5:00am by the time the sun is hitting the car I already wash/clay.

I didn't drive my car all week so I wouldn't have to wash her this weekend :D

I just bought a 12x12 pop up tent to. Does not help with the heat

Same here! Starting washing the family cars just a little before daybreak here in PA and it was already 80 some degrees out

It's 102 here and no breeze. A quick wash and Aqua wax of the Wrangler was all I could handle. I will be glad when my garage is finished so I can detail inside. Maybe in time for next July.

I love that I found a group of guys that for the majority get up early on weekends to detail.:xyxthumbs::xyxthumbs:

Up at 0530 washed daughters Saturn Ion (college car) and wifes car. Dried both off and waxed with Megs Gold Class Carnauba. Hit the trim with Megs ultimate detailer, and the tires with Armor All Gel. Wheels were wiped down with Megs Ultimate Quik Detailer. about 0900 was pretty much dehydrated and done. Now I am wanting to do my Silverado but it is 103 right now and not anywhere to get in the shade, so it may have to wait a few hours. Summer in Oklahoma, gotta love it.
