My moms Outback is in need of 4 new tires.

I don't even know what to look for as there are so many options compared to what there was for my Altima.

All she needs is a good driving tire that will last. But not be outragously expensive. I was thinking an all season or touring tire of some sort. She didn't give me a price limit, but I don't want to break her wallet.

Can anyone make any recommenedations from these lists?

These are really good if you can find them in that size.

^^Good Idea^^

Just go to their web site...Search Tires by Vehicle (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TRSelectAutoMakeAndYear.jsp)...put in the data for the vehicle...then, comparison shop.

I would look at the Hankook Optimo H727.

The Yoks and Pirellis are solid. American/Discount has $100 Visa with purchase of 4 new tires for June 29 and June 30th.

I would look at the Hankook Optimo H727.

Those look very appealing. I like the long tread life.

Continental DWS. Check out the reviews. Best all season I've used on my Audi.

Continental is exactly what I was going to suggest.

But I went to your links and they were not listed.

I just put a set on a Toyota 4Runner and they are really good. Took it out into the Mojave Desert and went up and down a lot of steep Jeep trails with out any traction problems. Plus they drove very nicely on pavement at a hundred miles an hour. No rain in SoCal so they haven't been tested in the wet yet.

So I went with the Optimo H727 recommened by Rider. My brother is telling me that I should have gone with something cheaper because they will probably go bad before the warranty? Did I make an error? I looked on tirerack and they got really got ratings.

I agreed w/ your bro. I had two set of wheelsets...1 set for winter and 1 set for summer. Both are Yokohama and they lasted 9 years. My Sequioa have 147000 mi on it. So i guess divide it by 2 and you understand how good these Yokohamas are. I finally replaced the summer set 2 weeks ago w/ another set of Yokohamas.
