If its not any trouble, can anyone do a VIN check for me please? My pops is trying to get my mom a daily driver and has possibly found one. But he found it at one of those hole in the wall car dealers, and I personally don't trust them. The first car we saw the guy said it had no accidents but when we looked it over you could clearly see it had been in an accident. We were getting ready to leave and then we saw a Toyota Solara. We test drove it and it seemd pretty nice. Does anyone have access to check the VIN for me? I'd be much obliged.

Just an FYI. Watch the VIN check sites as there's at least one of them that will charge you a monthly fee after the first free check.

I tried out the getvin thing and it works. I tried it with my old car that I sold on craigslist. I was sure it would have been junked. But nope, its still on the road as of january of this year. I sold it in 09. Very neat.

Here's the community VIN decoder (http://www.vindecoderz.com). For some VIN numbers it shows extended tech info and factory options. Hope it helps.
