That's what was thinking. Some of the clear is peeling so I am thinking about PC this winter.

Opti coat those wheels for sure, or at the very least get a high quality sealant on those bad boys.

Any suggetions for an alternative to OC? Something cheaper.

I use PB wheel sealant with success. Also prima wheel armor is good

I always use the same sealant on my wheels as my paint. Menzerna Power Lock but im sure there are other more affordable solutions.

Other than a hard coating a quality sealant is preferred over wax because it's more durable and allows the wheel to simply be washed with ordinary soap and water.

For the best results wash, clay, and polish the wheel's finish prior to applying the sealant. This will removes dirt, debris, and other contaminates including oxidation.

Once properly prepped, apply a coat of Ultima Paint Guard Plus. (http://www.autogeek.net/ultima-paint-guard-plus.html)

Ultima Paint Guard Plus is a clear sealant that goes on easily and dries clear, no powdery residue. Allow the sealant to dry / cure for 1 hour then apply a second coat to improve its effectiveness...:props:

Thanks Bobby!!! That was pretty much going to be my process but I was undecided on sealant. I have looked at the UPGP and probably choose that for use with other vehicles!

bummer...You need coating on those wheels...Opti-coat would be the best bang for the buck...

The only problem is the clear is peeling. At some point I am going to powder coat them. Once that goes down they will get the OC.
