Had crappy weather the past few days thanks to tropical storm debby so i thought it would be the perfect time to clean up my wife's daily driver, a 2007 Mazda6.

I did a full detail on this car back in 2010 when i was first starting out and learning how to do things so this time i had a bit more practice.

I was kind of slacking on the pictures but managed to capture a few here and there, no sun shots as there is no sun to be seen here.

Process:
Wash with Meg's Gold Class
Clay with Meg's white clay and QD as lube
M105 on Yellow CSS Pad
Wash with Meg's Gold Class
M205 on White CSS Pad
IPA Wipe Down
BFWD on Red CSS Pad

The last time i compounded the car i used Meg's Ultimate Compound and it removed about 75% of the defects so this time i stepped it up to the M105. This is the first time i've used M105 on paint, until now i've only used it on headlight restorations

After wash and taped up:

Reflection:

This was my first time using BFWD, got it as a sample with my last order and i must say, it is a pleasure to work with. A little bit goes a long way and it comes off extremely easy. The finished result is awesome.

That's all for now, thanks

Had to run out to the store this afternoon so i thought i would put up a few pictures of the beading action from the BFWD

Looks great. I love the BFWD. Its pretty much all I use in conjunction with Midnoght sun. I love love love that wax. It saves so much time being able to wipe on and wipe off. The pics of the beading are great. Its funny how something so simple can be fun to look at.

What were your thoughts on using m105 for the first time? I finally gave up on it and switched to 3M compound and have never looked back.

Looks like a mirror! Love BFWD myself.

The M105 wasn't as bad as i thought i would be to work with. I've read several threads where people have said that it has a short working time and dusts like crazy. I'll admit, there is a bit of dusting which is why i washed the car again after compounding, but it wasn't too bad.

I'm not all that experienced with compounds as i have only used Meg's Ultimate Compound and now M105 so those are the only ones i can compare.

Yeah i'm definitely liking it. I detailed my black pickup a few weeks back and used DP Poli-Coat as a sealant. The beading seems a bit tighter on the BFWD as opposed to the DP but then again the sealant on the truck has been on a few weeks and it is outside 24/7.

I'm half tempted to strip the truck and apply BFWD.

Great job! It looks like some cloudiness came back on the headlights. How long did it last from the last treatment?

I actually did the headlights a few weeks ago for the first time. Granted, they didn't come out 100% crystal clear but they are a lot better than they used to be. I plan on tackling them again to try to get them looking as new as possible.

Great! I have an 08 m6 black too. I am using the MF kit on it. How was paint to work with?

The paint seemed to be a little on the hard side. It was much harder than my Ram i just detailed as it took a little extra work to get some of the swirls out
