i seem to remember reading about a spray on product that forms a barrier for long road trips then washes off with a hose

does autogeek sell such a product or can someone name it?

how does it hold up ? any good? im considering a job thats a fair drive from here and figured it might be needed

Oh the one made by duplicolor? Read a little article on when car and driver or one of them tested it out.

Its should only be kept on for like a weekend or so. Rain will soften it up and wont be very good from what I recall.

WONT BE GOOD FOR rockchip protection and such. They just said it was probably only good for bug protection but with the amount of time spraying that stuff on. It would be easier and faster just to not use the product and clean the bugs off by hand.

This isn't spray on but it sounds similar to what you want. Diamondite Bug Blocker is the only product that provides an easy on easy off coating which shields impacted flying insect residue away from vehicle (http://www.autogeek.net/dibugbl.html)

That's the one I had in mind. I didn't post a link or the store name, and instead just sent it through a PM.

I spray on armourall. It won't protect against rocks, but bugs come right off. A little messy, though.
