I just picked up a Kobalt tool chest this past week. It's stainless steel and needs to be cleaned. Does anybody know of a cleaner that leaves the finish streak free? I know they make special cleaners for it but if a certain auto car care product works I'll just use that. Also I plan on just sealing it with a paint sealant afterwards.

Try the CG metal polish. It will clean and seal it in one step.

After searching the AG site I found some cleaners and protectants. Should have searched more first. :D

I bought bar keepers friend from Lowes (where you probably got your kobalt) and use it on my stainless tailpipes. Works amazing. They have a cleaner and a polish. Several other forum members use Barkeepers friend and its cheap

Is there a clear coat on it?
Just thinking about how kitchen appliances that are SS do have a clear coat.
