So the other day I did a brand new 370 Z. To my surprise that paint was in very nice condition compared to lots a brand new cars. The owner wanted to get the car opti coated (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-opti-coat.html). I clay bared the whole car...Well I don't clay bar any more I use this (http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/speedy-surface-prep-towel-ssp-589.html)...It takes about 10 minutes to do the entire car!! So after claying I polished with Meguiars M205. I used my cyclo since my flex went out last weekend. After claying I cleaned the paint with eraser (http://www.autogeek.net/carpro-eraser-ipa.html) to make sure the paint was clean for the opti coat. After everything was ready I started to apply the opti coat.
I applied the opti coat to everything! I did all the exterior paint, all the door jams, the trunk jam, hood jam, underside of the hood, all the emblems, all the exterior trim, plastic pieces under the hood, tail lights, head lights, took the wheels off to get the front and backs, calipers, and the wheel wells and lips.
With the interior I vacuumed and applied Meguiars water based dressing to all the interior plastics and vinyls. The carpeting got chemical guys fabric protector and the leather on the seats got chem guys leather conditioner.
