BEFORE PICTURES

Notice the dramatice difference for gloss and clarity in the finish in the after pictures as compared to these before pictures.

Here's Don's Mustang, looks pretty good to the average person...

When you know how to truly inspect the finish on a Special Interest Car then you know there's a little room for improvement and if you think this car looks good in the above pictures wait till we warm it over by MACHINE! :buffing:

This is a full size section cropped out of the original above, no resizing.

Oxidized Single Stage Paint
The below is a reflection shot of the overhead florescent tube lights, what I want you to see is the dull, opaque look the paint has at the bottom of the reflection of the lights. This is light oxidation and even though the car looks beautiful in the pictures above, in person the paint has a dull sheen to it caused by oxidation. This is a single stage paint by the way.

After Pictures

Now check out how glossy and deep the paint looks. Also note the full richness of color...

The single stage paint on this Mustang was so thin we could not even tape-off the black matte vinyl graphics. Se we polished this to perfection all by hand using Meguiar's Ultimate line of products and good old fashioned elbow grease.

Here you go... a blast from the past!

I would place the finish quality of the Mustang in it's current condition in category #3

Our job will be to take it to category #1

Ready to go!

The Mustang has arrived, we're setting up and ready to go....

I will be here most of the night running the camera and moderating, got to step out to go get my daughter and will be back as soon as I can.

Feel free to ask your questions. Will be turning the mic on in just a minute, doing some last minute set up.

Love the car. I had one just like it in 69. I think I would still be driving it today if my girlfriend had not wrapped it around a telephone pole on a cold icey night.

Would've been best if she'd been wrapping herself around (you guessed it)...you, instead!

BobThanks for the sympathy guys. I don't recall being very upset about the car being totaled, it was easily replaced. What did really bother me? She fractured her jaw in the accident and her mouth had to be wired shut for six weeks.
