I just started detailing my car this spring after I received a Griots polisher for my birthday. I have not detailed my car yet because I am getting Opti Coat 2.0 to apply next week. I detailed my friends car and he was happy with it and so was his family. I taught him the correct process on paint correction and he explained to his family. They all want us to detail their cars now. These are some pictures from my first two details.

2007 Pontiac G5
-Paint washed with Gold class
-Clayed with Mothers clay
-Meguiars D301 on a microfiber finishing pad removed 70-80% of the swirls.
-Waxed with Collinite 845 Insulator Wax

My friends aunt liked the way his car shined so she had us detail her car too. This car had many (understatment) RIDS on the trunk and rear bumper. I was able to get out most of them with a few extra passes of D300.
2003? Honda Accord
-Washed with Meguiars Gold Class
-Mothers Clay
-D300 compound to remove 90% of swirls
-Collinite 845

RIDS and swirls( the best pic I could get)

Excellent job on both cars. The Accord is the 2008+ model.

Thank you. I couldn't remember what year my friend said the accord was. My friends aunt liked it and wants us to do their CRV also.

Thank you! My friend who helped me deserves some credit too. We normally split the car up and end up polishing about 50% of the paint each. While one person is polishing, the other is working on wheels, interior, door jams, etc.

I plan on applying OC 2.0 on the G5 within a few weeks and applying it to my car on Wednesday, with guidance from your videos and write up. I have possibly swayed someone I work with to let me polish and apply the OC 2.0 to their car pending results of my car.

I started with the G5 a few weeks ago and it has kind of turned into a side job for me now. I have about 5 cars lined up to detail now because results don't lie!
