Does your flashlight use a Xenon bulb?

Big picture is, if it works for you go for it...

I've seen so many threads on this light and that light yet to date, I have never seen anyone find a light that works as well as it does for showing swirls, long battery life, hand-held and versatile as both a swirl finder light and a flashlight for the price of the Brinkmann.

I was about to buy this and then I saw reviews talk about poor battery life and the complaint that the battery stops taking a charge after brief use. The 3M gun looks good but is way to expensive for non commercial use.

I've had a Brinkman for over 3 years, it's my goto light for everything, it's bright, & holds a charge for months, the charge lasts for a long time under use. I always have to go find it to look for swirls. My wife loves the thing too! This is an awesome light!:dblthumb2:

P.S. forgot to say, is perfect for finding swirls!

If you look around, there are plenty good good LED flash lights that are more then capable of finding swirls. Mine would not hold a charge worth a damn. I emailed Brinkman, and no response after 3 weeks.

Every tool ever sold under the sun will have units that fail. I only know a few guys that have been using this light longer than me and it's the guys that introduced it to me, you can red the story here as I always give due credit where credit is due....

We call the Brinkmann Swirl Finder Light the Cruel Master and it's not half as wicked as the 3M Sun Gun. So if you really want a light that is high quality and reveals every single defect, check out the 3M Sun Gun...

I have the Brinkman Marine light. With the soft blue rubber front on it.

The one feature that I really, really like is the soft rubber surround at the front.

I am always worried about touching the paint while trying to find that last little swirl and I definitely don't want to have a rough metal flashlight near the paint.

No, i do not have a flashlight w/ Xenon bult. They are LED. They are made by Surefire and zebra light.

Get the Brinkmann Tuff Max Dual LED. it's available from AG, it uses AA batteries, and it's brighter than the Dual Xenon. That way you won't have to worry about the internal rechargeable battery failing. Just get yourself one of those 40 packs of AA batteries Costco sells. I really love mine, the ergonomics work much better than a regular flashlight. You are able to sit it on a surface and aim one of the lights, as they each pivot. It is a bit fragile, but it's still worth the money. I'm always grabbing for mine.

Good to know. Save yourself some money and pick up some rechargeable AA NiMh batteries and a charger.
