Hey guys... What is the best product to use on a faded black trim that now appears grey. I have already tried a trim restorer and within 2 weeks it wore off. What can I use that will make it permanently stay black. Also what is the best tire gel to use to make them black and stay black. Thankyou!!
Keeping them permanently black will prove difficult...if a trim restorer didn't work you will probably have to go the dye route.
Forever Black: Forever Black restores a dark, black, finish on sun-faded bumpers and body moldings. Forever Black permanently dyes black plastic, rubber and vinyl. (http://www.autogeek.net/forblacbumtr.html)
or
Restore Black
Neither one is permanent, but they work pretty well...after you get your trim to the desired darkness level (requires multiple applications) then wash the trim a couple to times to remove the excess and then apply a protectant.

This is my project and hopefully a solution. I will try the fix this weekend

I am going to get some CarPro DLux for fathers day. My dad always complains how the trim is never black enough for him.

I've read that Mr. Klean Magic Eraser is good at getting the black back. My preferred trim sealant is UTTG+.
