Sunday detail on 2003 Accord

I spent this entire Sunday on my friend's 03 Accord coupe; most of that time was just on the interior, which needed some serious TLC. There was a lot of dirt and dust because he's driving around every day with this car (the car has 190,000 miles on it) and he pretty well lives in it.

Interior:
1. Vacuum and dust
2. Interior was cleaned with various brushes and microfibre cloths using DP TIC, followed by wipe down with reverse osmosis water to make sure there was no residue
3. All "leather" and plastic/vinyl surfaces were protected with 303
4. Interior windows were cleaned with Invisible glass

Carpets/mats:
1. Mats and carpets were vacuumed then dry agitated with a stiff brush then re-vacuumed
2. Stains were treated with Folex and more stubborn stains were scrubbed with 3:1 Kleenol APC
3. All the carpets and mats were extracted with Mytee Lite

Exterior:
1. Washed with ONR and dried with WW towels
2. Body was hit with a coat of OCW

Windows:
1. Windows were cleaned after the wash with Invisible Glass
2. Treated with RainX

Rims/Tires and Wheel Wells:
1. All 3 were hit with Zep Citrus cut 4:1 (thanks, Richy) and agitated with various brushes and MF cloths then rinsed
2. Wheels were coated with Chemical Guys Acrylic Wheel Guard
3. Tires and wheel wells were coated with 303 (I'm going to get some UTTG or Carpro Perl on my next order)

Engine:
1. Vacuumed loose debris around hood cowl
2. Covered alternator and other sensitive electrical connections and boxes
3. Sprayed down with Zep Citrus 4:1 and agitated with various brushes then rinsed
4. Dried with leaf blower and a couple of MF cloths
5. Sprayed 303 on rubber and plastic, closed the hood then turned the engine on for a few minutes
6. Turned engine off, then wiped off excess 303

Exhaust tips:
1. Washed with some APC to remove excess dirt
2. Polished with Autosol (I love this stuff!) and 0000 steel wool (I think I need something more aggressive, like 00 or 000 steel wool for the inside of the tips)

Big up to Oakes for the idea of tucking the watermark in various spots in the pictures. It's an ingenious idea that I had to steal. I hope you don't mind.

It was a lot of hard work but in the end I was really happy with the results. Any comments or criticisms are very welcome.

Great job! Any pics of your TL? I have a 2001 WDP TL.. Poor thing needs a full detail since i bought a tsx is just been sitting.

I have had TL for a very very long time, I was fortunate enough that my parents rewarded me in high school with it.

Got it brand new on Jan 21st 2001... 11.5 years ago....I have 171k mile and about 5 different transmission. TSX is a 2010 black V6 with tech.
