Wheels Cannot get clean

My BMW wheels have been neglected and I am working to get them back in shape.
Obviously coated in brake dust and who knows what else.

I used three different brands of wheel cleaners, all with a wheel cleaning brush and put quite a bit of elbow grease into it.

Eagle One
Meguirs Hot Wheels
DP Wheel Cleaner

They all worked about he same, superficial dirt was gone no problem but I cannot seem to go the next step which is to get out the embedded dirt/brake grime.

The problem is not on the surface but between the spokes.
The feel of the metal is rough and the dirt seems to cling onto those surfaces.

Any ideas ?

Try some iron x paste. Stuff works pretty good.

^hit the nail on the head... either that or wheel brightener... try the IX paste first

I agree with Alex. I recently used it again on my wheels and let it sit for a couple of minutes agitated and then rinsed.

IronX spray to start then the tough areas go with IronX paste...
