Hello all - another Jon here. A mid 30's engineer from Buffalo. Car nut since the single digits.

Always loved detailing but never got serious about it - starting now.

Have a mod'd "Last of the Breed" '02 Pontiac Formula stripper (cloth seats and a 6-spd!) in Sunset Metallic Orange - ordered new in '01 and only has 12K on her.

More recently I just picked up a new DD and it is my new little project - a '08 Saab Turbo X (6-spd SS) with 27K on her. Unfortunately it came from a stealership and is in need of a paint doctor. I'll have some posts on her soon - because I certainly will need some advice.

Always did my detailing the hard way - by hand - but just picked up a PC DA.

Looking forward to chatting with ya'll!:detailer:

:welcome: To Autogeek Jon!!

I'll bet everyone here started detailing the exact same way, by hand.

Since you have a dual action polisher, here's some great information by Mike Phillips that will help you if you need it.

You're going to love the PC, it's a well-built tool capable of doing a lot of work when used correctly.
