Question on product reviews/comments

Do you find it a good idea to wait 6 months to a year to allow all reviews to filter in? For instance the Flex PE was a rave when it came out in terms of power, lightweight, etc. Now I see comments such as it gets too hot, good machine for "surgical" polishing, should get the DeWaly 829x instead.

Depends on what you are doing? I just ordered one and it will be here Tuesday. I'm learning to use a rotary. It's a compact light weight rotary. If I were using it hard all day long I doubt that is the one I would have bought. But I'm not. It is a quiet quality tool and will easily run 6"+ pads. Only you can decide what is best for you. For every guy/post you find having an issue with it, I can show you a guy/post that swears its the best polisher they have ever used. For what I do I think it will be awesome, that's why I bought it!:buffing:
