I'm about to by an '87 mazda 323 GTX awd Turbo for rally purposes. :awesome:

Its got those 80s style rubber bumpers and lots of plastic. What should I use to clean/restore/protect them to look good again.

I was thinking either Forever Black or PB Trim restorer?

I have used PB trim restorer with great results but for a more permament result forever black will probably work better

Check out Duragloss #271, 201. They both have worked great for me on trim, bumpers, and such. "Trim Restore" is some good stuff. It does have a tendency to run if not thoroughly buffed. TR is also at it's best when applied to very porous trim and bumpers.

The best info that I've seen on trim products was done by Sparkie. His final results can be found at http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/3794-test-joe-p-3.html

I think I'll give Forever Black a shot at restoring the bumper. From the review it looks like PB Trim restorer isn't that good for rubber. Is there any other alternativethat I can spray on exterior rubber and plastic to maintain it?

http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-trim-detailer.html - Try this. I think it works well. It can sometimes be found OTC too.
