Washing advice...

I was washing a car today and it was partly cloudy. I had the car in the shade all but the rearend. I notice when I was rinsing off the car and the sun came out and that the water had dired on the rearend resoaked it and went on. I was degresasing with paint safe citrus degreaser then clouds gave me the shade I need to finsh and then came the soap and the same thing happened with the sun dired out the soap. Didnt seem to take off all the dirt since it had dried out left a gray hazing over the car like dirt baked on it. had to wash it again. Is there any way to aviod this or anything I can do to prevent this from happing? What would you do if you got called out to wash a car and there is no shade? just dont want to get water spots or scracth the paint. What to do please help.........................Feed back please

First thing to come to my mind is a no rinse wash such as ONR.
I'd give a good thorough pre rinsing. Then your two bucket method.
You'll be washing and drying your panels faster than the sun will

When working in the full sun no shade you will need to work in small areas,I would recommend washing 1/2 of the roof, windshield , and back glass, then rinse. then 1/2 of the hood and trunk, rinse. Then passenger side ( or whichever side you started on) glass and door panels, rinse , front and back fender panels, rinse, then the entire front grill and bumper, rinse. And lastly back bumper, rinse. Then wash the other half of the car. After washing and rinsing each section you will want to go back and rinse off areas already completed, this will use more water but it will prevent water spots. If you are doing a maintenance wash, during the drying I would also recommend mist a QD on the towel or panel to act as lubricant to prevent micro marring. This might leave a little haze due to the QD but a soft plush buffing microfiber will buff that right off.

do you have a small "easy up" or other similar canopy?

I sure dont I will need to work on getting a canopy. I am a bit scared about using ONR. Bit I did place a order of some ONR in my recent order. I will have to give it a try after a good rinse.

No reason to be scared. I was extremely skeptical about using it. Then when I ordered it I wish I would've tried it sooner. I use it for washes clay lube and quick detailer. I love it for door jambs
