Below are a few shots of a partial detail on my 85 Corvette. The paint is original and still looks good after 22 years.

So far I have performed the following on the paint:
XMT #2 - Orange LC Pad
XMT #1 - White LC Pad
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant.

I currently have the following waxes and wondered which was forum members
think would look the best on the car:

Poorboy's Natty's Blue
Poorboy's Natty's White
Collinite No. 915
Pinnnacle Signature Series
Pinnacle Liquid Souveran
Pinnacle Souveran Paste

Any suggestions on which wax you think would look the best on this 22 year old dark silver grey metallic paint would be appreciated. The metallic flakes are very small and not noticable unless you are real close to the paint.

Pinnacle Souveran Paste gets my vote. I think that it's just as great on light colors. Follow with CM. Got to say it looks awesome already.

Gary, how about Liquid Souveran for the upper lighter panels, and Souveran Paste for the lower, darker panels!:D

My vote would go for Liquid Souveran or Signature Series II. Both are great waxes!

I have never tried Souveran Paste on this car. I tried Souveran Paste on my wife's white car before but I think Liquid Souveran looks better on white. Souveran Paste looks great on my yellow car but I'm not sure if it will make that much of a difference on this color. The last time I waxed this car I put on Signiture Series and it looked pretty good but I thought I might try something different.

I think I'll probably put some Liquid Souveran on it but I also wondered how one of the Poorboy's Natty's waxes would look.

Thanks for you suggestions.

Alban61, The car is acually all one color. It does look like it might be 2-tone in the one picture. The lower part of the car curves in and was reflecting less light so it looked darker in the picture.

Sig Series, the polymers help bring out the metallic flakes.

Sig Series or PLS. Metalics don't come out as nice with PS.

First of all very nice car, paint looks really good. Amazing that it's the orginial paint.

I for one realy like Liquid Souveran, can't beleave the reflection and the depth you get out of it..I vote for Liquid Souveran.
