Wetsanding & Rotary Buffer Class (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/sign-up-saturday-detailing-101/50474-wetsanding-rotary-buffer-class.html)

I have had a lot of request to do a specialty class on only wetsanding. For those of you looking to learn and master this skill I will be offering a 2 day class that will fully encompass the art of wetsanding.

Registration for the class will be $600.00 for both days.

The class is tentatively scheduled for July 14th and 15th. If your serious about learning how to wetsand, cut and buff then reply to this thread so I can get a head count.

This class will go over,

Hand sanding - Nikken Finishing Papers
Machine Sanding - 6" Electric & Air Dampsanding and 3" Mini Dampsanding - Meguiar's Unigrit Finishing Discs & 3M #5000 Grit Foam Finishing Discs
Rotary Buffers with wool pads for compounding - Flex PE14 Rotary Buffers
Rotary Buffers with foam pads for polishing - Flex PE14 Rotary Buffers
Rotary Buffers for Jewelling - Flex PE14 Rotary Buffers
DA Polishers for Finish Polishing and Machine waxing - Porter Cable, Meguiar's and Griot's DA Polishers

The class is fast paced and you will be working very hard. This is a very hands-on class, be prepared to sweat.

I am interested, however I am located in South Jersey...I have a relative with a place in Ft. Lauderdale, so I am going to see what I can do before I can make any promises.

Sounds good.

This is just a thread to get a head count. There's a lot of planning involved it teaching a class of people "new" to wetsanding on how to sand down and buff out a real car.

Sanding on demo hoods or fenders is one thing, sanding down a real car is the real deal.

Over the last three years I've had a lot of people ask me about a dedicated wetsanding class to learn how to wetsand, cut and buff for a show car finish.

I have 2-3 cool cars available for the class and with the new 3M #5000 Grit Finishing Discs it should be a cinch to remove the sanding marks no matter how much experience you have using a rotary buffer.

Wow, sounds like a great class. Should be a great follow-up to your "Boot Camp" class. Count me in!:buffing::buffing::buffing:

I wish I lived in Florida... I'd spend all my time shopping at the AutoGeek store, and detailing, and taking Mike's classes!

Too bad I work weekends now. :( I do have a question though Mike, does the $600 fee cover only the class or does it include the $200 AG store credit?

Just the class...

I never scheduled or confirmed the class due to lack of response. I'm asked all the time for a class like this...
