I met the owner of this Cobra a few months back at a local car show and at that time he was driving a highly modified 2011 Stang.
He saw the CTS-V wagon i had just detailed at that meet and wanted his car done also.
He ended up doping some work on it himself and soon after the car was sold.
He then asked me about an '87 Grand National he also has with only 2k miles on it.
Somehow i got the feeling that he just wasn't that convinced about the difference between what he could do and what a capable detailer could do.
When he called me about this Cobra we talked about some other cars he had detailed before by a local guy who does a lot of Mustangs.
Anyway, a few hours into my work he started noticing that this was different than what he had done before.
He is also best friends with a local, nationally known mustang tuner and wants them to start using my work. We'll see.
This was done on a day when there was absolutely no sun all day long so all my pics were taken in the garage.
I finally got to take some outside shots a week later at that same car meet.
There , because of this car i potentially picked up a client with a modded GTR and several other cars he has and another Mustang owner with an 850whp ride but he wants his 599 done in a month or so, he says.

Very nice work, I feel much better about the original condition of the paint on my 96 SVT Cobra after seeing his before pictures. I'd love to have seen the engine bay if you did it. Since I'm set to correct mine and I'm a newbie would you please share the products you used. I realize it's your skill and not the products, but I'm curious what you used. How easy is it to remove the spoiler? Any chance of setting myself up for future leaks by doing that? My car was well maintained and a garage queen by the original owner and seeing the difference in the paint it shows. But you really turned it around, beautiful mirror like reflections on that black paint. Thank you for sharing and good luck with getting the Mustang shops work. Spiney-Dave

Thanks, the spoiler was already removed by the owner when i got there.
I am pretty sure that as long as everything is put back in place properly, you will not have any leaking issues.
This one was also well maintained and low mileage but still needed work.
Most of the first step was done with meg's D300 followed by menz 106.
The owner asked me to only work on the paint and not do the interior or anything else, so i didn't get to work on the engine bay at all.

Very nice looking paint on the video. It sounds a lot like mine. I have Flowmaster exhaust with new H pipe and no cats. Has same burble.

When I get my shipment from AG I'll be starting on mine. Any tips or suggestions? I was wondering if there are any issues with buffing the area of the scoops on the hood. The smallest pads I'll have are 5.5". Would you classify the cc as hard, soft, somewhere in between? Should I tape off the screen areas of the hoodscoops to keep product out of there? Thanks, Spiney- Dave

Definitely tape off the areas of the scoops, residue is bound to get stuck in there.
As far as advise, i can only tell you to take it slow and easy around the scoops and any other areas where you are dealing with edges.
The 5.5 pads should be sufficient, i do my work with much bigger pads but i have my way of doing things.
Take your time and you should be ok.
