My name is Hammer. I am a waxaholic. In the beginning, I started out just being happy with washing my car. Then I graduated to cheap over the counter waxes. I would just wax once a year. Then, I bought a new car. That is when I fell into my present addiction. I wash and wax my car 2-4 times per week. Oftentimes I wonder if there is a world's record for coats of wax applied onto a single vehicle. I feel anxious if my car looks the least bit showroom. Oh the glimmer, the shine, the radiance! I feel most centered, therapeutic zen-like when a sponge applicator is in my hand. Mmmm, the smell of the wax coupled with fine microfiber under the shade from the warm sun tingles my sensations.

I'm Hammer, and I'm a waxaholic.

3 hours ago I waxed my neighbors dining table with Collinite 476S. No lie. I've already done my furniture. I thought I'd draw the line at dragging
in the PorterCable so I just buffed it by hand.

IMO you're just wasting time and money, but it is your time and money so whatever makes you happy, should just do others for money.

:iagree:

Using a spray wax after a wash would be more ideal.

Perhaps you may have a point. Maybe I should blow it on booze and hookers. ;)

I freely admit that I have a problem. The Brazillian White is a hard act to follow. I may try to cut down and wean with a spray. It will be a challenge, no doubt.

In a perfect world, Autogeek would sponsor a rehab retreat where detailer and tire shine will be the only things on the menu.

Tough love is a bitter pill to swallow.

I used to be like that. Im kinda over it though, I enjoy washing more than waxing. Its just an extra step I don't want to do.

Thats partly why I am opti-coating my car.
