Did you try leather cleaner? Some of it, like Meg's wipes, are so dang oily I would think it would come off fine. Is it hardened on?
I mean these use peanut butter in hair due to oils, so the oil in Meg's would work.
I would NOT use peanut butter, of course!!! If you use Pinnacle, or WG, or any fancy ones, I don't know if it would work or not because they are not oily like that.

Put a ice cube on it and freeze it and then try to remove it picking off a little at a time...keep repeating the process till you most off and then try a leather cleaner to get the rest off...

:iagree:

dry ice and other items would likely damage the leather or cause to crack. Just a simple ice cube and some time. Once gone, clean and rebuff the leather as usual.

i never used Megs leather wipes so i can't tell you if theres a difference, but i can tell you there is over 2,000 uses for WD-40 :D

I have used WD-40 to remove everything from grease to tar and when gum is fresh/soft it will dissolve gum down to nothing....

I think the ice trick would work well and then a little APC 10:1 when you are all done

Not sure on the ice cube, I would try a moist fabric on gum . Not on any of the leathe but spicifically to the gum spot as close as possible. Leave set for a time and then try to work gumout and clean leather. Seems You need to moisten gum to remove from leather. For the most part humans are PH nuetral.

Thank you all for the feedback. Now I'm going to go get this nasty gum off my seat. Thanks!

I don't know about leather seat. But I used to have an incident that my can of Glue spilled onto my car cloth cushion. I left the can on the seat under the hot sun. The can opened by itself coz of the heat, I think. I used petrol to clean it all up nicely. Looked like brand new.

lighter fluid disolves gum on contact. I've had to resort to that over the years. Put some on a cloth and gently wipe it on the gum. After its gone, protect the leather with the product of your choice.

You have to be careful on leather with some petroleum products...most leather is coated and some products may compromise the coating and stain leather..only oils I know safe are Mink Oil...Lanolin...and Neatsfoot..
