Colinite 845 over CG Blacklight/V7

I've decided to go with GC Blacklight topped with V7 on my Porsche 911 with very good seal gray paint. I wondered if a top layer of carnuba would be of any benefit so I emailed CG. Their response. " carnuba base wax would add depth, warmth, and some extra protection" So, now I'm thinking Colinite 845 would be better than the CG waxes because of the outstanding reviews regarding longevity and quality overall of Colinite 845. It's also good value. Any thoughts or comments. My obsession is driving me to find the best pop along with durability.

A carnuba over Blacklight will look amazing. Then top both with V7 and maintain thereafter after every wash with V7. Blackfire midnight sun or one of CG carnuba waxes is the way I would go.

silverfox,(or anybody) I thought the V7 was formulated to enhance the Blacklight and should be used on top of it and then wax(maybe) Geez, I guess I'll never find the perfect combo. Kidding!

Experiment!!! Go with your original plan and see how it turns out. That is how the people on this forum find these fantastic combos.

Test it first to see if you will be satisfied with the results, i have observed that water behavior (beading & sheeting) of the waxes and sealant i topped on Black light was altered. Meaning beading was not that tall and tight and sheeting was not that fast compared to bare paint and wax/ sealant. I have tried, BFWD and SNH so far which seems not to be compatible, but CG's XXX is a good wax combo for BL.

I'd like to see you try it out. I have been planning on trying a similar setup to this. I am planning on using Blacklight, Glossworkz Glaze, and 845 together. I have CG P40 detail spray so I wouldbt use the V7 at this point. But it would be cool if someone to tested the results first.

its overkill imo to do bl then v7 then a wax, do bl then your nuba wax and then on your maintenance washes use v7 to extend your combo,
also black light is sort of an aio, so imo its pointless to apply it over anything as it will in theory take it out, and if blacklight does its job as a "glaze sealant hybrid" then you wouldn't need to apply two "glazes"

Totally agree with sonic, I only use BL as a glaze, AIO cleaner. I just top it with a more durable wax, that would be enough.

This is black light topped with Supernatural hybrid, i like the shine it gives but this combo degraded SNH's beading and sheeting properties

thats interesting ^ didn't really think about compatibility issues with it. what have you used SNH with before, or was it just alone?

Used SNH alone, and the beading was significantly different, actually i was surprised when i saw the beading of SNH w/ BL underneath. I am thinking if i use 2 coats of snh on top of BL, beading will become tighter and taller and sheet water faster.

Used BL 2x and topped it with midnight sun today, after polishing with powerfinish. Dark green explorer. First real time with BL. Look was very glossy and deep, owner liked it as well. Wondering if CG 50/50 would look better then the midnight sun?
