After my finianl finishing polishing I want to put the DG101 on. What pad should I use the whits or grey LC pad. Or should I just skip the 101 and go right to the DG105? The 105 will be done by hand of course. Thanks again for eveyones input on my first project, I will do an after action report if I ever get this truck finished. ;)

Either pad will work fine. If there were swirls left (I know there isn't), you could use a polishing pad.

I went straight to 105 after using XMT polishes. Had no problems and the car turned out great.

At this point I was thinking of going right to the 105, after 8 hrs with the OPT polish and 2 hours today with the DP FFP. Im tired. lol

I would do it by hand, but grey and blue pads are considered for finishing and will introduce no further swirls or markings if used properly. Keep speed low ..

Killer is right...only time I use a white with 101 is if there is just superfical webbing..real minute stuff..as 101 does havea micro abrasive and will cut them with a white pad...but if paint is nice use a blue or gray finish pad...speed 2-3 is good...you will get steller results....then do 105 by hand....then relax

Thanks AL just what I needed. How long should I wait between the 101 and 105?

Bags..let 101 haze up for 30 minutes..depending on weather..if hot and humid go 45 minutes...if cool and dry go 30 ....buff it off.....wait 30 to 60 minutes before doing 105...let 101 start to link up a bit..that way you will not be pushing it around with 105...if you have time and not in a hurry...do 105 the next day...it goes on fast and easy....but do by hand...little trick...do a very lite spray of AW if you have it on the foam applicator pad and then a dime size of 105...that primes the pad some and helps 105 spread far..just need to do AW on the pad once..the 105 will continue the priming..I mean a lite spray..not soaking it...lol....just to make it slightly damp....

Use very little 105 as it goes a long ways after the pad is primed...

let 105 sit 1 hour before buffing off...better results...longer if you want
