Porter Cable 7424XP pad question

I want to buy the porter cable 7424xp polisher after reading various discussions and viewing many videos. Since I am new to polishing, I want to go with teh 5.5" pad setup. How come most of the kits sold on Autogeek come with the 6.5" pad and the 5" backing plate? Does the complete dual action accesory kit come with the 5.5" pads? Or would I be ok with the 6.5" pads?

The PC just doesn't have the power to spin the larger pads.:buffing:
