I'm using a rust converter on a few spots first, and then I'm applying the touch up via this pen, any tips/recommendations ?

How much paint do you get with the pen vs the normal kit? What about the sealact?

I personally would go with the kit and use tooth picks. Much easier to apply to small chips with the toothpick compared to the brush.

if you google dr color chip direct match paint pen it should come up I would but I'm on a 10 year old desktop ebcause my laptop is down or I'd pull it up for you :(

are toothpicks best? I was thinking a cotton swab? or would that be a bad idea because the cotton will break off and become cemented into the touchup paint

The only Dr. Colorchip pen is called Rust Avenger. It stops the rust on areas where it has already started. It has nothing to do with color other than prep. Use the regular kit for color filling.

no they also have direct color match pens, they can be found at pepboys and i'm sure other places

i already have the actual pen, but would be willing to get the brush on kit if it offers better results

I'd go with the kit. I got the it, contains couple ounces of paint and 3 fine brushes. For what i needed it for, couple chips, it did great. They have a video on their site using the brush kit, follow it exactly, that is what i did and it worked great.

Are you using dr.colorchip as a term for touch up paint or is actually branded as such? Looking on their website, they only offer the paint in the little jars.

i apologize, its not branded as dr color chip, but its made by duplicolor, who makes the direct match paint.
