Ok The first time I washed these wheels (OEM Ford wheels, non-clearcoated I think), I used too much of a stiff brush and put a lot of very fine scratches in a couple of them. I'm a bit afraid to take a buffer to them for making a shine on what appears to be a satin or matte finish.
Here are the pics, yes those are chips but they are being repaired, paid for by the tire place that installed new tires and did this during the alignment check which I did not ask for. What I'm looking at right now is the micro-scratches on them, best seen in the 2nd picture.
If the repair isn't to my satisfaction they will be replacing it. What I'd like to know is there anything , product/pad combo that I could work with the fine scratches at all?
