I was bored one day and decided to do my sister's Equinox.

The total process was pretty simple:

Washed w/ CG Citrus Wash and Gloss
Clayed w/ CG Synthetic Detailer as clay lube
Applied one coat of CG Blacklight with the Griots DA
Applied one coat of CG 5050 paste wax
Applied one coat of CG Hybrid V7 on each panel

These products really seem to live up to the hype, and I'll probably be using this combo for a LONG time. The wet look it gives is just amazing and I bet the protection isn't too bad either. Haven't had any bad weather to see how well it beads or protects but I'm sure it'll be fine.

That my friend... is off the charts! That combo is about as good as it gets. Pete's 53 or XXX are also great toppers over Blacklight. Once you dial in a combo like that, stick with it.

In months and months of playing around with all sorts of combos I would put that one against anything out there.

After doing the paint correction on my PT, I used Blacklight, XXX, then Hybrid V7, amazing results!

How did you apply the BL via DA? I am putting it on my black Jeep this weekend via Flex

Yes, I applied it with a LC Charcoal pad

Thanks. I bet it would look better with two coats of Blacklight or two of the 5050, but I didn't wanna spend all day on it haha.

I used a LC flat red finishing pad. I think the speed I used was a 5 or 4.5. Blacklight has a small amount of abrasives in it (I believe) so it could probably remove any tiny scratches you have. I didn't really use much pressure either, as the paint was in good condition to begin with.

Here's another angle:

Pardon the side view mirror, I hadn't dressed all the trim yet lmao.

I did the BL/V7 combo on my car a few days ago and it turned out awesome. These 2 products are an absolute breeze to use. The BL on a red HT pad even removed some light swirls and water spots. I was pleasantly surprised.
